Happy World Breastfeeding Week!
Happy World Breastfeeding Week! One of my biggest passions in life is supporting my Momma friends on their individual breastfeeding journeys.
Coming alongside these amazing women and cheering them on is truly one of my greatest joys.
Here at The Wholesome Momma, we cheer Moms on regardless of how they choose to feed their babies. We are all on the same journey and want the best for our little ones. So breast or bottle, I want you to know, you are welcome here, Momma. :)
There are so many women I know who have gone through incredible obstacles to nurse, pump or some combo of those, for their babies. Some had NICU babies who were born early, some had low milk supply while some had little or no support at work. For others, breastfeeding came effortlessly, but things like post-partum depression and anxiety gave them another challenge. Some couldn't nurse their first baby but went on to have a successful breastfeeding relationship with their other children. Things like a bad latch, clogged ducts and mastitis were challenges for some of these women but through education, support and endurance, they overcame each and every one.
In honor of WBW, I'm sharing links to some of my favorite organizations that support nursing Moms. A large part of normalizing breastfeeding is offering our support to the community of Mothers around us, no matter where they are on their journey. Let's be a part of the change. Nurse on, Mommas.✌🏼
